Updated Proposals
We want to do more than just build new homes. The redevelopment of the Tesco Station Road site will pave the way for a revitalised neighbourhood with new homes, new and improved Tesco store and publicly accessible landscape spaces. Creating better connections, homes and places for the community.
The new Tesco supermarket will be a similar size to the existing one and provide a modernised layout, with a wide product range and a rationalised back of-house operation to maximise sales floorspace for customers. This new Tesco store will provide a new Click + Collect service to enable customers to save time by ordering online.
Additional benefits
More sustainable and energy efficient refrigeration
EV Charging Points
New customer Cafe
Click & Collect with dedicated parking spaces in car park
Modern shopping experience
Jobs for local people
The pharmacy service will be retained and a new café provided.
To minimise disruption to customers, the current Tesco supermarket will remain trading until the new store is ready to open with a temporary carpark built.

As well as private outdoor space for all of the homes we will also be able to enhance the public realm. Including wider footpaths to the Hindes Road and Station Road, seating, play and green spaces ensuring they provide inclusive and welcoming areas for people to enjoy and nature to thrive.
Construction
If planning permission is granted, before any work start, Harrow Council has to approve a Construction Management Plan. Including Traffic Management Plan. Noise, Dust and Vibration Monitoring.

The contractor will be implementing a series of measures to ensure that the impact on your daily life is minimal, your safety remains a top priority, and residents are clear on who to contact should they have any concerns.
